I never regretted painting mine red. I found the reddest red I could at the time 80s Toyota I think. G.M. has a redder one. I think it has a little yellow in it. Love what your doing. Use the T or 32 ford grill though. Don't make it look rat. Your doing too much good work to bastardize it.

Sorry for the harsh words but your roadster is looking so right I hate to see something detract from the look. If your stuck on yellow you might like to see a McCoy print I just bought.

I would use a nickel plated "T" grill shell.

Well, I think you should keep the '37 nose and add a hood, but you didn't ask and I'm sure the T shell will look fine. Nice work!

Id like to see that shell with a hood and sides also. I think it could work. Love the rest of this car also. The back is perfect. Lots of great little details too. Nice work.

You could always try a 28-29 shell too.

  14. I prefer the T shell - the '37 truck shell has great proportions when stock but looks fat when it's sectioned.

The crossmember looks a hundred times better as a part of your T than it did taking up space in my garage. :) The car's looking great as always.

Man, this car rules! Im digging everything about it so far...

My .02, I like the truck grill way better. It's different and cool. If you're still unsure about the color, I vote for that seafoam green thats on the 303 motor.

If you are gonna upholster the top of the back of the roadster cab, I have this foam u-channel stuff that works good. I'll send it to you if you want it.

  20. Black, seafoam & Chrome, as Charlie says......... Winning!

I am liking the proportions, the reversed Turtle deck gives the back end much needed weight.

You just don't see many Ts done as traditional roadsters like the As and Bs. Using the full body and grille, sat on top of the frame,, with mainly Ford suspension parts. When I saw the original pictures at what I assume was Tardells, I thought then what great looking T roadster!
You have taken it even further. The firewall was a brilliant idea. The overall look is great, and I have always liked quarter elliptics!
I would offer my opinion on colour. Keep it a stock looking '30s or '40s muted dark colour, Washington Blue, or Dark Maroon, or even Dark Green.
Given your choices so far, it will turn out great. 'Kin Brilliant!
    Cheers,
    Stewart

How about a blue with some cream pinstripes. Baby blue? Would that be too odd? And the same colors on some numbers.

  30. Tacoma cream on the wheels/fire wall but im kinda biased
