Event Coverage 2016 Detroit Autorama, Going? Showing?

I'll be there, I'm not sure what I'll be bringing.

 

I don't think my old body could stand another bout of that Jeff .....

I'll be there for the first time with a car. I'm bringing my Model A that I'm just finishing up.

 

Hotel room is booked for a couple of nights .... It will be sort of nice not having the roadster there. At least it will be easier on my old body.... I will have to rest up for the 2017 show when Myles hopes to have his '59 Pontiac there....

 

I'll be there too hanging out in the Basement with all you hooligans

 

I'm planning on being there with Snoopy, they have deposited my cheque... but haven't heard anything so I'm not sure if I'm accepted or not... have hotel booked and enclosed trailer lined up...

 

If all goes well, these two will be shown together...one on top of the other

 

I've been given an "...or else..." about getting mine in. Dealing with a minor set back at the moment, but I'm too fuckin stubborn to give in. AND I have some of the best friends in the world to help so that or else may be nothing more than chin music. It's not impossible but it's sure to be a deadline gig suitable for a TV drama.

If there wasn't a crisis regarding getting there one way or another,,,, it wouldn't be any fun, would it ?

 

For now my "crisis" is over but that doesn't replace the time missed. I know what it takes to get one to a big show in a leisurely fashion but not many of my clients want that peace of mind. This car in the topic is mine for a change so the pressure is multi-dimensional. The peer pressure is another story. Y'all know who you are...

 

never been there, can you sell parts there...any info on that ?

 

My son and i will be there with friends. No car this year we are building a new one. Its alot easier going now that my son lives outside of detroit. No need for a hotel room.

 

I hope they don't park these 2 cars side by side.

This will be my first time showing in Detroit, looking forward to it. Traveling with member 38mag and others.

 

If I go it's just for the day, 4 1/2 hours each way but it's better than not going.

 

Where is the best part of Town and Hotels and such to stay in? Would like to do the Henry Ford Museum also while there. A Father - Son trip.
