Event Coverage **2011 Model A Pancake Breakfast Who's Going?**

The best model A event of the year in So Cal. is this month. This may be the last year!!!!!!!

It is a great show. Why do you think it may the last year for this show?

 

I was told that the city is tired of this event and only allowed this years event because it is the 50'th anniversary.

I don't see their logic. This is a tame event that bring many people to the "Historic" downtown area. It's good for business in my book!!!!!

Jet Blue round trip ticket, breakfast, win Mitchell overdrive, meet HAMB members, sell Mitchell OD on eBay...........this could be a great weekend, and put money in my Roadster/Lyndwood fund.

 

Now that's an optimist at work !!!!!

Guys, can you post a whole bunch of pictures of the cars at the event for all of us "non-attendees" ?

I'm getting my model A fix when I go to Thommoina33's place on Tuesday Evening when we go driving to work out the River City Coupe and Roadster Club's reliability run's route.

 

I seem to miss it every year, I am going to try to make it this time.

Two additional items that will be of interest to the stock Model A owners to the Premium Raffle are: 4 Mel Gross cast iron drums and a rebuilt A trans, bellhousing and pedals. I will be down from Santa Rosa will will be working the Raffle table, HAMBer's stop by and say hello.

Some of the younger council memebers want to corporatize Old towne Orange, Thus they're against anything that spikes mom and pop business (the entire basis for downtown economy) They haven't figured out a way to get their cut from this event so they want to do away with it....good news several of the council members are model A and T owners.......we really need to pay attention at the next election though.

 

this is the way of california and why old original structures/businesses are REALLY hard to find around here. to me it's one HUGE mistake for california.....a couple of weeks ago we went to Philippe's, union station and rode Angles Flight (I really hope they open up the restaurant next to the station, super deco design inside and out).
