We've got a couple of choices for ya this year. The main host hotel is the Holiday Inn. You'll get a damn comfortable room for a damn good price. On the other side of the parking lot, you'll find the Residence Inn - here, you can get a bit of an upgraded room for a bit more money.
In either case, we got your breakfast covered on the house and the parking lot party promises to be off the hook. Lots of surprises this year fellas.

    The Holiday Inn
    3615 Range Line Road
    Joplin, MO 64804

    Rooms: $74 per night

Go ahead Todd. I've got some plans for a certain Super 8 in Keokuk. Do you know a place that rents livestock by the hour?

Hey Ryan, was that the hotel we stayed in the very first year we had the hamb drags? I hope so, cause the parking lot was awesome for trailers.

  18. How about a little info for a hamb newcomer, like where, when , stuff like that. You guys act like it's a private party, I'm just asking.? If it's private, please forgive my ignorance DON

The satellite image looks like the marriott has a gigantic parking lot is that correct?

We will have two trucks with trailers, which hotel will be better for us?

Glen, I think you may be looking at a business. The giant parking lot looks like a mfg company maybe?

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center has 700 parking spaces and its ease of parking is the reason why many trucking companies choose them. The Residence Inn is owned by the same company as the HI so where ever you stay you will have both properties in which to park on.

BTW, Those of you that are bringing kids, there is a really nice indoor skate/bike facility, just across the parking lot in view of the hotel. My two boys I think have already packed their boards they are so excited.

Just so you can come prepared, they have a printable form on the website that needs to be notarized prior for admission.

Here's some shots of the parking lot at the Holiday Inn that Rob with HI sent me.

As you can see there is lots of room for trucks, trailers and shenanigans.

Hello everyone! If you are making your reservations through Ryan's link for The Holiday Inn, here's a little extra info to speed up the process:

    1. The link takes you to a main page where you will see on the left side a space to "Check Availability"

    2. Type in the date of arrival and departure (Ex. 08/21/2009) and enter in the group code "HAM"

    3. Make your other selections (# of Adults etc) but don't worry about rate preference.

    4. Then, click "Check Availability". This will take you to a page to enter your personal information and reserve your room within the HAMB Drags Block.

You're welcome to PM me if you have any questions and I will be happy to help! :D

Just a reminder: HAM is a Group Code only and will not work as a discount code or otherwise.
