Long shot , anyone have the part numbers handy for original 2 X 4's holley tea kettle carburetors ? The ones on the base plate.
Both the 1956 carbs were the same. In 1957: With standard transmission, (2) R-1434's were used. With auto transmission, the R-1434 was the rear and R-1437 was the front. All three sets of carbs used chokes on both front and rear. There were also a few sets of early experimental units in 1956 using a different intake that used the Carter WCFB 2361s, but I can find no documentation that any of these test vehicles were ever sold. On the other hand, I can find no documentation that they were destroyed. Since Holley came in with a less expensive bid....... Jon.
