I found this copy and thought was cool that it's my birth year and month and it featured a few 1933 Chevys. Since I'm building a 33. Anyway theres an article that I just don't understand, does anyone have one of these or ever put forth the effort to build one? Really couldn't see many of these kits selling. It was never sold to the public as a kit. It was a gimmick to promote model building. They sold small plastic model cars, and this was just to gather interest to the AMT name.

Another magazine I have from the same era claims the car was used for a TV show and girls on the show can switch over the car quickly. I'll have to look it up. Why they need a quick change car vs having two cars? The Model car gimmick sounds more realistic.

Yes, it was a prop on the Dean Martin show in about '68 or so. Even cooler, the location it was built in and filmed in was AMT's Phoenix build studio, and the building still exists about two miles from my home downtown.

The coolest part is that you guys knew what it was. The ad lead me to believe this was a kit car and I'm shaking my head in disbelief as I read. Gene Winfield has to be one of the all time Greats. Thanks for the lesson fellas
