  3. Well I am going to restore it to stock, 289 4v, c4, 8" rear end, factory interior (palomino) and factory exterior "pecan frost", all new suspension, factory style disc brakes, all chrome redone and aluminum polished... I am shooting to get it done in a couple months, we will see!!

Every 65 Comet 2dr Ht needs to have a 4sp and slicks.

...and a level ride, but raised...:D

I can't help it, I was a teen back then; heavily influenced by all the Comet drag cars.

From 1965 to 1969 I had this '65 Comet 202 as my driver and sometimes drag car. It was Blue Ice w/black interior. The skinny kid is me. I'd like to find another someday.

Is there a reason for the painted silver on the control arms?

Man those '65 Comets are such a nice body style! Wish I could have found one before I did my '63 Falcon, but they're few and far between around here!

The control arms are done two tone like the original factory ones!!Most people[except some restorers] paint them one color! ROY.

Then I will do that on mine

  28. The two tone is because when new at the factory, workers dipped only half of them in paint and the outer edges were left bare steel. I haven't done anything on it in the last week, between the falcon and my buddy's 65 mustang I am servicing for him I haven't had time. Maybe next week once I'm done with this mustang I will get back at it!

  29. Seats are done!!
