Great job, hope my boys get the bug when they're your age! I noticed your pretty close to the frame with the axle in the rear, are you planning a notch or are those bags just going to be helper springs

No, no notching will be needed. The picture that i think your talking about is the airbag install. Where the bags are fully deflated. With them all the way down, there's still a couple inches until the axle hits the bump stops

Also the bags are for suspension. To improve ride quality as well as have the ability to drop it on the ground to give it its lowrider/cruiser style

Speakers and rear deck panel. The speaker grate i stole out of my little brothers 1970 duster. Figured they would look better than new speaker mesh. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393821627.838991.jpg
Red balled antennas also installed ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393821707.591365.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393821715.635559.jpg
And finally the giant canvas roof of a paint job has been cut and buffed! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1393821749.035478.jpg

So a quick update. The glue we used for the headliner didnt workout so well as it pulled out of the rear window and the front fell. So we ordered a new headliner, got my carpet at the same time and some wind lace finally! We installed the headliner but havent tucked the sides yet, we put in the back glass to hold the rear of the headliner up into place. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397890061.027740.jpg
And man what a bitch it was gettin that seal to sit right. Following that the trim went on, then our little custom b pillar trim. Can anyone name it? ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397890182.266329.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397890200.980934.jpg

Finished tucking the headliner and installed visors and dome light. Also threw the dash in and steering column. Got some cables and wires hooked up. Waiting on some parts so that i can finish my dash assembly, spotlight, then front glass ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1398055303.142650.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1398055323.266449.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1398055336.605103.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1398055348.688828.jpg

Coming along beautifully. . .Have more than a soft spot for these cars. . .More like a sickness. . .which is why I'm "owned" by 2 (a 1959 4 dr and a 1960 2 dr hard top). . .and may have a 3rd one joining the family soon. . .LOVE the laced roof! :)

Keep up the GREAT work -- well done, sir! Well done! :)

Been doin some small work like running airlines through my floor and mounting my air bag switch under my seat. I got some engine parts back from the machine shop and have started assembling!
ENGINE SPECS: 292 y-block, 312 big valve heads.
    Electronic ignition conversion
    Holley 500
    Stock crank
    turned 10-10.
    Comp thumpr .491 lift cam.
    Solid lifter.
Everything's been balanced, crank, rods, pistons, flex plate, harmonic balancer.
The block has been decked .023, and the heads were machined from 73cc, now 69cc.
