ok so day 1 of the hot rod power tour and my wagon gets t-boned in the parking lot of the hotel. I am looking for the following parts if anyone can help. driver's side rear door driver's side 1/4 panel tailgate you help in finding these parts is greatly appreciated jeff
came out of the hotel to find someone hit the jeep ,pushed him into me, he then bounced off the jeep and crushed my quarter almpst to the tire. waiting on the insurance to see what the next step is
Just found the thread after talking to Carl K at BTT50's. He was the one i mentioned may have the parts and was familiar with the accident. sounds like he may be able to help out.
i actually found the door i need in idaho and had that shipped in. this weekends plan is to remove the air tank located between the 1/4 panel and frame so they body shop can begin working on the car this week. hopefully i can get it there on monday
Git er done Jeff. We want to see that wagon back on the road again. Good luck. Did they ever find the hit and runner?
was going to work on it today but an emergency at work screwed that up but i was able to get a real neat toy today before work. hopefully tomm i can get the car ready for the shop. no they never found him and i doubt the ever will, hopefully the insurance does the right thing . and thanks for the well wishes
progress is being made the rear door has been cut open to remove , the b pillar pulled and the replacement door lined up. a little chat with the adjuster and then begin pulling the quarter. i'll have some progress pics to post this evening
we are making some progress. the wagon went to the body shop on monday and they have got the "b" post back into place nicely . they also had to open the door skin on the rear door to get the door to open. they also hung the replacement door and the gaps are pretty good, not perfect yet but both doors open and close smoothly. next step is to talk with the adjuster again about the 1/4. these pics also show a little more of the 1/4 panel damage but as you guys said it should pull out ok and there is no rust on the 1/4 to worry about
Hi Brook, Good to see the progress, did the post straighten out okay? The green door is the same color as the one used to replace my drivers door. When do they expect to be done with the repairs?
yes the post seems perfect as both doors close smoothly . the shop says 2-3 weeks which is fine by me as i got a new toy to play with
Cool - another longroof (I'm a wagon lover too) . Good to hear that they're rolling along fixing your 59 .
