Hi I looked and cannot find any pictures of 1958 Impala seat tracks, as to how tall and long they are. The tracks in my moms Impala appear to bet the wrong ones as they are about 4" tall. and pics would be great help.
A friend of mine has a '61 Impala. I'd bet the seat base/tracks are damn close to the 4" tall area. It seems to make sense. Dont the Impalas of that era have a really deep floor pan?
These look like truck rails. They don't adjust back and you can barely get your legs under the steering wheel.
Heres a pic of 59-60 from eBay for bench seat tracks. Hope it helps. http://m.ebay.com/itm/1959-60-impal...t-tracks-original-gm-/252330521211?nav=SEARCH Sounds like they are specific, from this thread. http://www.348-409.com/forum/threads/front-seat-for-1958-impala.32736/
58 Impala is one and only, very specific. 59 - 60 looks nothing like I have. They look like they are shorter for sure, and the front looks significantly shorter than rear.
I got pics on my phone, but coverage is dodgy in this part of Kazakhstan; I'll try and send them when I get back to the camp, might be another day before I can post them.
Hey thanks so much! I am going to end up using a set of modified 59 tracks. Mine are even taller than yours look, and in an Impala. I know Belair, Biscayne and Del Ray tracks are taller.
