Have a 1958 Ford f100 3 on the tree 292 Yblock. Wanted to maybe upgrade to a 4 speed. Whats a good transmission to put in these trucks. Or a good year donor truck to pull one from. Thanks a bunch

  2. Were you going with a 4 sp truck style with a granny first ? Or a go fast 4 sp like a top loader or T10 style which went into the early 60's Ford cars?

My 64 1/2 ton Ford truck with Y block had the grannie style in it so I think up to 64 and maybe back to 54....
