1957 Ranchero Motor.....

Did the Ranchero come with a 272 or were they factory 292 cars?

 

Could have come with either. Depends on which the original buyer opted for

 

Engines were regular 1956 fare carried over for 57 Ranchero's: a standard 223-cid six and optional V-8s (272-cid in the base Ranchero, 292-cid in the Custom).

 

A few supercharged F-code 312 engines snuck out of the factory in '57 Ranchero's too.
