Customs 1957 3100 column swap

    Hi. New to this forum. I have a 1957 chevy truck 3100 I put a 1979 camaro clip with a 350 and 700r4. I'm wondering if anyone has used a aftermarket chrome steering column for this application if so which one. I read reviews on the cpp and now I'm 2nd guessing my choice

    I used the original column, it looks right....

    but it did take some work.

    Yeah, the modern chinese chrome tilt columns have known issues.
     
  3. To my knowledge, the Ididit and Flaming River columns are the only ones made in the USA; the cheaper copies are just that, cheap copies and have many known issues. Their safety issues are such that they've been banned in Australia. Buyer beware....
