Born a Ford man. my favorite in a 29. The next is the 55/56. I love what you did with the old girl. The up grade moulding on the side is boss. It would be nice with the custom line moulding but the fairlane is boss. and if the color is not what you really wanted, the green is really cool. My 29 is green, not my favorite but it was green from Henry's shop and green it is, and a lot of folks really talk about the color. She's a beaut, feel proud of that one. Iceman

Thanks for all the kind words. It was great to get the car done for my dad and feel like I was able to give him something he really wanted. My mom always wanted a pink Caddy - for now she'll have to enjoy riding shotgun in the ford! :)

    Again, SUPURB.

  22. Great job on redoing the car!

It was something most of us never get to do for our parents.

The pic where your dad has his arm around your shoulder makes it all worthwhile. Your wife was a real trooper also. She just had to know how much this meant to you, and helped, by offerring her support.

So AWESOME! Hell, I don't even know you and I'm proud of you. I can only imagine the people in your life.

The car looks fabulous but the pictures of your dad are the best.

    Hey guys - I'm back!

Glad to report that my parents have been enjoying the car on a regular basis. As winter approaches, I need to make sure the heater works. The car has a simple looking set-up. I can see the heater core under the dash on the passenger side and there is one switch on the dash for the blower. There is also a knob mounted under that dash that is labeled heat, but I don't understand how it fits into the system. From memory, it is two post on the back - one was hacked into a 6 volt source but I can't remember where the other wire went. I'll be back home this weekend and would like to get it going for them if possible while I'm there. Here's a pic with the knobs. Any help is appreciated!

Its got the basic heater and I have only seen a couple of them, they kind of look like a dealer installed heater. My 55 has the other type heater.
