Me and my dad rebuild old cars. I just wanted to stop in and say hello to the OP. Also, it is not a Willys, it is a 1941 Chevy coupe, I just didn't bother about posting pictures of it, it is not exactly "hamb friendly".

You known your stuff, and apologize for not seeing that it was a Chevy. I also like Chevys.

Except for wheels it looks fairly traditional, but almost too new m, but mostly the color and the wheels.

Do you have a build thread for your truck?

The name for your truck should be Idi, for I did it. Wow! How cool is that! Young, GIRL! Building HER own old nasty hotrod! Just print pix and keep them in a book under the seat. You can pull that out at shows when the idiots ask wear the old man is that built it. Bet your finger nails ain't pretty.

  7. Years ago I did a ton of business (Ford sheetmetal and other parts) with Tom Bay at R&J in Ark City. I don't know if he is even still around? Great first project you have there.

I have not started one for it, my brother started it, and I've kinda taken over, because he hasn't had the time. I'll start one when the weather warms up and we can get back out there.

My Apache doors are also bent like that along the front edge.

At least our trucks aren't as bad as this one.

  12. Every door I've ever seen that wasn't redone was like that. My door is the same way. The dog leg on the fender let's loose and they just pushed harder on the door. End result screwed up door.

If that were my Granddad's truck, you'd be finished already as far as paint is concerned.

Here you go, found this one on the internet, and it will give you a look at how yours would look in the color that started on it. Hope you get it running and driving soon. 55 chevy truck.jpg

    I Don't know what is the coolest on that post;
    A. He let you take it
    B. That you did take it

I tried making my wife take my car, and she would rather take here bike in the rain, then drive my 68 Volvo

  29. Chevy didn't build a fleet side in '57 '58 was the first year for the fleet side. '57 was the last year for the Cameo. Just for clarification.

@Bad55Chick where you put the truck depends on what you plan on doing with it. if it is going to be a traditional custom then traditional custom is where you put it, if it is going to be a hotted up traditional truck then traditional hot rods is where it should go and if you are not sure then Hokey Assed Message board is always a good place.

I personally always land my stuff in the Hokey Assed Message Board. But that probably has to do with my knowledge of the hobby and I know that I am not going to totally hit on traditional on anything I build.

Cool project by the way it can go in so many directions you cannot go wrong with the tri 5 body.
