I did the stainless on my El Camino with stainless mig wire, not the best way, but it's all I got, it was a bitch and I'm not 100% happy at all but I'm gonna live with it until I get a tig machine and skills like young Flop over here.

So you decided against sloping the rear quarters?

Flop and his boys delivered the car on sunday and man i couldn't be happier. the quality of the work up close is amazing. But dealing with Flop has been a total nightmare.
Ha!! You know i'm kidding. Flop is the coolest. I wish we lived closer ma man. Play some "Shock Collar Pickup". Love u Flop.

hey Mrjynx. we didn't slope the rear quarters because a quarter is about my net worth right now. But i'm playing with this potential paint scheme to add some slope to the rear quarters.

    ^x2.

Horizontal fender, headlight, body molding to scoop, and fin lines. Adding even an illusion of fin slope with paint will end up looking worse than whatever vision is in your head. Just takes one less than stellar design decision to become a pressure point.

I think doing it with paint would be wiser than cutting it up till youve lived with it for a while.
