1953 Belair front end rebuild kit

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has had any luck with one of those front end rebuild kits. My car seems to be wondering all over the road and figure it's time to rebuild it. I've never done this before so am just wondering if it's something I can tackle I dd take it into the shop and they quoted at least 15hr plus parts so figure might aswell give it a try.
