Not a 100% sure on the motor yet but have some ideas kicking around. Made some progress in the bumper and spent a couple hours lowering the old Buick. Preparing for the top chop. IMG_1036.JPG IMG_1057.JPG

That was my thought exactly. That's a helluva first Kustom and a bit more than I'd try, but your boldness is paying off. The only part I wasn'r feeling was the back window and one post later, you righted that. Now it flows and moves when it's sitting still.....

Been a minute wanted to update the build thread been going back and fourth about the chop on the roof. Before moving forward with that I wanted to get the doors back on the car. I knew I wanted to get rid of the b pillar. And always loved how they hardtops looked and functioned. So I found a 50 Pontiac hardtop donor car. It was a nice car but passenger side took a pretty hard beating.
    [IMG]So here’s the progress
    [IMG]. [IMG][IMG]
So I spliced the back of the hardtop door to the cars original door.[IMG]
Then once I got it to fit probably I cut the 2” s off the bottom. Since the car is sectioned 2”s.

So after working that out on the passenger side I’ll get to work on the driver side and start wrapping my head around the quarter glass. Think it’s going to be a similar process.

Love where this is going. I think it's safe to say you've got our attention!

  12. Stupid newb- doesn’t even know that Buick parts won’t fit on a Chevy. What? Oh.. never mind.

I believe he said he’s new to the H.A.M.B. but I’m thinking he didn’t just step out of diapers and pull this off. Amazing

Yeah, and another request to see a few more shots of that Edsel please

The Edsel's mine- Was storing and working on it in Neil's shop over the winter. I'll start a build thread when I get a chance. Thanks for digging it!

Okay, I'm hooked. I've got a 50 Styleline I'm working on, and now I'm rethinking everything.

    You're doing a great job.

So when is a good time to drop my 52 Plymouth off for some chopping in shaving? Pick it up in a couple days time LOL. YOU SIR ARE A ANIMAL!!! Fricking killer build and I wish I had just a little of your talent and skill. I think this build is perfect and can't wait to see it as it progresses.

Dang man, that’s some serious metal fab! Much respect for putting something together and actually making it look good. Congrats on the killer car and look forward to seeing it finished!

They're from a 1956 Oldsmobile, from an old parts car I had and was able to donate to the cause. ;)

Been a hot minute. I’ve had a few other projects I had to work on. Back on the 52. Here’s some progress on the roof chop. Oh and sorry yeah the front wheel openings are from a 56 olds. 9A96D81C-C332-4265-8194-2F1D70A25DD6.jpg 9CEC155A-F7CB-4AC1-9F45-42EF2B8AEAA2.jpg IMG_2720.JPG IMG_2721.JPG
