  5. Oh yes, very nice. Going to do anything with the skirt looking side panels?

    Wow what an improvement.
Count me in with those who aren't fond of those skirt/side panels, It looks like someone took 49/51 Merc lower quarters and welded in the skirts and stuck them on it. Really distracts from the clean lines of the rest of the car though.

Looks tons better. Now, is there a way you could literally cut down the size of those skirts to fit the car? Tastefully done flush mounted skirts would really look great. Bubble skirts are too HUGE.
They overpower the rear of the car.

Add me to the list of people who really like the new roof look, also curious if you have any other changes in mind.

Very nice change. The old roof with solid sail panel made the whole rear of the car look to heavy.
The quarter window makes all the difference, great job.

Those "skirt-lookin' thingy's" could be hiding a multitude of sins.

Let's hope not. I do like the new roof; while I am partial to '51 Vic's and usually like the original rear window, this works fine on this car.

Looks like a whole different car: I guess it is. I like it. Nice work.

  24. You made this a great looking shoebox, ditch the flames, and skirts, paint it a dark color with 50 Merc skirts, and you'll be stylin', nice work. The Merc back window is a good choice, flows with the rest of the roof.

I guess I’m the only one who kinda digs the skirts… the top is definitely an improvement though.

If that fake convertible top had quarter windows it would have looked better but you done good to get rid of it.
