1951-52 ford trucks

can someone tell me are the headlight buckets spot welded to the grille piece or bolted to it thanks

 

They are held on with four screws.

Exactly which piece? The round piece that attaches to the crossbar, or the bucket that actually holds the headlight?

Round piece can be either way, factory grills were welded, replacements are bolted (complete NOS grill hanging on the wall in my shop, 6 pieces all bolt together). Pieces that hold headlight are held to the round pieces with screws.
