I’m working on restoring a 50’ Fleetline and was wondering if anyone knows why at the factory they put all of these 1/2 inch holes in the floor pan and plugged them with rubber plugs? Could I just weld all these holes up or should I replace the rubber plugs? The floor pan is in great condition, with only minor surface rust on the inside only.

  2. Most of the holes are for the jigs used in the factory to position the parts for assembly. You could weld them, but I wouldn't. A nice original floor is pretty rare.
