Customs 1949 buick 3 speed manual linkage floor shift

    hi guys can you buy off the shelf 3 speed manual linkage for the floor for a buick 248 with a 3 sp?

    Short answer.....no. It's what is called a selector transmission, and doesn't use two normal size shift arms. A couple companies used to make them, but haven't in over forty years. You'll either have to luck out and find one of those, or make your own. There are a couple good threads on here with pictures of shifters guys have modified to work on them. Punch "selector" into search.

    Just a thought here, are there any Buick only car clubs out your way? Sometimes net working with like minded enthusiast can lead you to the right source. Somebody somewhere has just what you need sitting on a shelf.
