    Hey, what's up shoebox guys?

I'm trying to find out if there's a difference between the glovebox locks for 1949-1950. I just bought one that they SAID was a '49 but I CANNOT figure out how to screw the fucking thing in.

    (Pardon my French.)

There's no provision under the dash to screw it in; the only two holes are drilled into the edge of the dash right next to where the latch sticks out.

Ideas? Am I missing some additional piece?

    Thanks in advance.

I believe 49 and 50 are the same - 51 is probably different. The lock does not screw in - it is held by two screws. I'm not in the same state as my car, or I'd send pictures - but I think you got the wrong part.

Their is a metal bracket that bolts to the lock and the bracket bolts to the dash. I'm assuming you are missing the bracket.
