Hey folks, it's been awhile since I have posted here. My friend and I created the chevybombs.com website. I have been working more on my '47 Chevy Fleetline Project car, getting the engine all detailed and dialed in. She runs great. It's a 261 cui, 0.030 over with a hot cam from Patricks, dual Zenith carbs (copper hardlined), Nicson intake/valve cover, '53 Corvette factory dual exhaust, full oil flow, Pertronix ignition and coil, harden valve seats, and the engine has been rebuilt over at L&R Engine in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The transmission is a 3-spd column shift Saginaw mated to a '68 Chevelle Convertible rear end (3.08:1 gear ratio).
I think he is suggesting that vibration could work harden the lines (especially with your sediment bowl waving in the breeze) and fracture causing a fuel leak.
What Panhead said. All those compression fitti vs are a leak waiting to happen. Nice work/ wrong material. Sent from my LG-TP450 using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
