I have a 46-48 factory open drive banjo and I cannot locate a part number for the
front pinion seal. None of the major catalogs list a seal for the open drive, and
I have not been able to find any answers through the search features here.
Can anyone help me with a cross reference number for something new and
possibly available through an auto parts store? Thanks, Steve

You sure it’s not ‘42-7 Ford PU?

I didn't realize that the pick up was the only vehicle Ford produced with an open drive banjo rear-end. I've been an A' guy my whole life and looked at lots of 40(?) Rear ends and then this one came along. I'll check out the parts and offer a "thanks" for the help. I do appreciate it!

Measure inside diameter of hole in center section, od of pinion where seal rides and thickness of seal.
Any seal distributer should then be able to provide seal. Seal pt# maybe on outside metal ring of seal.
