Installing a 9” in a 40’ Ford How/ what should I do to measure and find rear axle centerline on the frame? I am installing the Pete and Jakes kit. I see how far apart the brackets should be but not the starting center line on the frame. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Axle centerline is straight below the center of the bumpstop. There is a 3/8" hole at the top of the kickup that is for the bumpstop. You will need to trim the front of the crossmember for clearance with a 9" as the back of the housing will hit the front of the crossmember.
and move the axle back one inch so it looks right in the fender opening. The way Henry did it looks awful
