What lower hose (molded) are you running with a small block Chevrolet?

I used a flex hose from my motor to my 36 radiator.

another trick is to get one of the foil tubes that go to the aircleaner, and bend it to your shape and then go to your parts store to match up.

I use a Gates # 20242 lower hose on my '32 sbc. Fits great.

It is a LONG hose.......but like said.....it works well when cut down. I used it on my 40 standard coupe with a 283...

Im glad this came up, I need to get a lower hose for mine also. Another question though will that hose work with the Hurst mount ?

I used a 40 ford lower hose on a 36 with the hurst mount,it rubs on the edge of the mount, but so far no problems. Was thinking of trimming the mount.

  9. ive used that hose with a hurst saddle mount/SBC in a `40 and it cleared with no problems
