When I bought my '39 it had the Cragars on it, later I went with steelies, and finally today put on the Americans.
I like Cragars, just not on this car, and never with white letter tires. Americans are the look I was after, so they stay.
Cragers SS and American Torque Thrush have always been my go to wheels, probably since that was what was hot when I was in high school and couldn't afford them back then. I think with the right tire size the Cragers would of looked just fine but the Americans do look perfect on your car.
Looks great with the Americans, Cragers scream drag or muscle cars to me. Never white lettered tires on a hot rod. NEVER!
Americans look to have the best offset for your coupe and look great. Cragars stick out too far and the tires are a bit large for my tastes.
