It looks like a few folks are building various phaetons at the moment so I thought it was time I showed you my version

Starting with a 2 door slantback with the idea of building something different,

    37 rear with 38 front fenders/bonnet etc.

My old 47 in the background,
Made the du-val style windscreen my self just tacked together in this shot, working on a header panel this week, the roof is extended folding one from a convertible BMW.

I have changed the body lines again as they now flow into the door more, can`t find any photos so I will take some more next week.

    Enjoy

Interesting build, cant wait to see more. it would look really nice as a 40s era custom.

  7. There used to be a green one around years ago. Kinda Streetroddy, but very nice work on the car. Will the top fold or be Carson style?

Thanks for positive feedback, the roof will fold down to let a little sunshine in, I think will be staying with the wheels as I have always wanted a set of ET`s ( well the fronts are Real Rodders but look similar)
Not sure of colour , Pick up an old blue leather interior out of a Jag which should fit quite well, so it might end up a maroon red! saying that is was going to be blue last month.

I have some more photos soon

    :)

This one seems to have gone quiet very quickly. Any progress, or is it dead in the water?
