Well I finally got to the point where I need a headliner for my 37 chevy 2dr coupe. When I bought the car 2 years ago there were 2 what I would call wood trim support pieces on top of the deck behind the seat. These were positioned in the corners by the "C" pillers. Shaped to contour with the "C" pillers. Kind of half moon shaped, about a foot in diamerter and about 2 1/2 inches tall. Anybody know what these do or there purpose? Interior was not complete when I bought it and have no clue:confused:

I'm going through the same thing. I'll be watching this one.

They are used as a tack strip for shaping and holding the upholstery material. If you check the ones you have, there are probably staple or tack marks on them.

Ok! I did find a staple in one! Starting to understand now. I'll have to duplicate one that's pretty eaten up, should be no problem. Thanks raymay!
