Looking at a '36 Fordor up for auction tomm. Looks like most all of it is there except the grille & some of the soft interior stuff. Unrestored, but incredibly solid. Off the road since '69. Searched thru the archives- no luck :: Are the front fenders the same as on the coupes? How about the rears- Fordor's shorter than the coupes or the same there, too? Thanks!
The front fenders are the same, it doesn't look like the rears on a coupe are the same as a sedan. Here's a listing from Wescotts and a few pictures. http://www.wescottsauto.com/WebCatalog/pdf-ford-fender/1935-36Fenders.pdf http://carnut.com/cgi-bin/06/image.pl?/show/06/lou/nat291.jpg http://carnut.com/cgi-bin/06/image.pl?/show/06/ggdal/dal0272.jpg http://carnut.com/cgi-bin/07/image.pl?/photo/contrib/hourie/pic0671.jpg
Spiffy is correct. Front sheetmetal on all passenger cars is interchangeable. Sedan rear fenders are different from coupes and roadsters which are interchangeable. I don't know about phaetons. Spare tire carriers are different as the backs of couples and roadsters is curved and the back of sedans is flat where they mount. Beware, good OEM grilles are hard to find and expensive. The repro grilles are ill fitting, requiring a lot of massaging to get to fit. I used one but it was too narrow at the top. I had to pie cut it to widen it. Good luck.
