I cast find used 37 or 38 Chevy truck doors anywhere. I was told low cab 36 doors will work. The 36 did I'm looking at measure the same as mine. Is this true? What else should I look at? Thanks!

They are either 36, 37 or 38 low cab doors.

There were changes from 36 to 38, grille, location of fuel filler from under seat to right side corner panel.

I don't think they changed the doors, cowl, roof during that time.

Doors look correct to me! If you need 37 door measurements, I can give you any you need. I have a '37 at home in the garage.

They look right. Try to get the inner door panels and the two peices around the top they can be hard to find good ones.

I had a 36 and the inner framing is all wood. I do not know if the 38's are or not but they will fit.

I have a 36 that has all steel framing on everything, but 34, and 35 are wood framing. Those doors will fit as long as your 36 has the same roof line (tall cab vs. short cab)

You are right, I remember mine having steel around the perimeter but nothing inside where window regulators went. Was that wood?

I thought the fenders ran into the lower front of the doors on 36 and not 37,38

They are like my 38 but your missing the regulators, latch, latch rods, two garnish pieces, inner panel and plate the regulators bolt to.Do you have any of that stuff? doors look solid but the missing pieces will nickel and dime you.

I have a complete set of doors, but both if the bottoms were gone. The lock knob in the divers door is broke, so I will have to get one of those. I should have all the regulators, I hope. For the door panels I'm going to make some aluminum panels since this is going to be a race truck. Think there were worth $250 shipped a piece?

If you have the parts your set.$250 for a solid door sounds good. I'll have that much time/materials in mine repairing the rust.
