Now that Gus is posting his work on the Shoebox... Here's my story, I found this raw built 1934 / 1935 in LA last summer & shipped it overhere, the chassis was bad so we had to rip the whole thing apart & start all over aggain. Still working every day...but there's an end at the tunnel Loose set up ;-) New rear @ ing Crosmember! Barn found repainted Jaguar Coil Overs fitting the 350 Body in primer' Tranny Bracket' Here we are..... back to the beginning. Naked Chassis everything "hand made" en spot welded. Engine, Tranny, Body, Truck bed and front & rear axle are carefully removed to complete the welding & spraying of the chassis... Yes Progress!! 2Be Continued!
at first we wanted this color? Changes off plans....FLAT BLACK ITS GOING TO BE Von Skip... @ed grille & front & rear windows 8) VonSkip elektric works @ed the painless wiring kit! for now everything works. Also all Hoes ;-) replaced. New matching Edelbrock airfilter, better than that fugly high Mushroom Kong? Damn...it just looks like its finnished....but no way...more work coming up Like....mounted the steeringcollum, gas & brake pedal, seats & sofas ;-) Ahead...brake & fuel lines, exhaust, battery box, Fueltank, etc...
Nice work, I really like the side shot of it with cab tilt vs engine tilt...reminds me of my old HotWheels cars.
You sir, do not have any 1935 Parts...........that I can see in any of these pictures. Looks like a lot of work put into it though. It would look good woth those Torque Thrust IIs back on it.
As far as I know...its a '34 Body with '35 front fenders & Grille, It also has a 1935 Title and chassis so thats why I call it a '35 ;-) The torqs are coming back...or some boyds... don't know yet. Grtz Skip'
Really nice work!and your making really good time on it,I would never think your shop was in the Netherlands by looking at your cars.I'm a Army brat born in Zwolle.
Looks good, I like everything but the late model wheels and tunnel ram. What does a '35 truck grill look like, that may flow better with the vertical shape of the cowl. The '34 cars had a sloping cowl to match the shell better. Just kicking ideas around.
Well seen, Its welded...not by me, hope its going to be ok About the Boyds, Tunnelram & some other stuff.... I'm building this one for a customer who has his own ideas. If it was mine...it would be more radical & old school but its not. I only interest in US pre 69 cars...so no Japanese or Europe cars in my garage ;-) for more Dutch rides & stuff check out my website www.vonskip.com Cheers'
