DON"T use a sand blaster on the sheet metal, it will warp the panels. If you're set on blasting it, use soda.

i always found my dads 33 to be the coolest ever he took the stock body ( that the previouse oner lost the top to) and made a new top out of a 4 door sedan and chopped it in the process. He also channeled it i think 2 inches if that just to make the side covers about a quarter inch from the frame. I think its sick but to each its own.

Here's a shot after we filled the roof on my 34. It's the only photo I could find.

On my A, I am planning on bolting my top insert in with hidden bolts. The insert will be metal (volvo roof) covered in fabric.

I'm with screwball on this one. It is not a 33. At least at the front cowl. The 33 had a shorter hood shelf so that would make it at least a 34. I had a 34 Master and a 35 Std.
I filled the top on my 34 with the top of a Junk 65 Mustang. It had the right crown front to back and side to side.

That depends on how you build the motor. I read one of your other posts about having a 396 BBC, so depending on how you build it(heads, cam, compresiion, etc) those would be fine....but if built wrong it won't matter.

my 33 has the fabric insert... I think that looks pretty cool? maybe even a little more traditional and not so street rod like the steel insert.

also just to let you that a big block fits like it was made for it.... mine has a 454 with the 4 speed... and soon a factory tri-power from a 68 vette, if I ever get off my lazy A%# and put it on.

anyway.... YEEEEHHHHAAAWWW it's a blast to drive.

Good luck, looks like you have a good start.

Floor pans from a 33Ford will work, (nobody re-pops the 33 chevy floor). Not too expensive either, and you just have to do some trimming.
