Hot Rods 1932 column drop mounting bolts

I recently bought a 32 drop and noticed that the mounting bolt holes that bolt it on to the dash are two different theads. One is 5/16 -18 (coarse) and the other is 5/16 - 24 (fine). I found this odd as it does not seem to have a heli coil..... What size should they be??

 

should be fine thread 5/16. probably stripped one and tapped out to 18TPI.
