    That is the perfect example of a 33/34 roadster IMHO

    I've got a bunch of articles on those cars in the '32-34 stock car wars...
    that one averaged 80 on a huge course that was half oval and half roadrace, hitting exactly 100 on the long straight! One-barrel 221...
    The cars were disassembled for tech, but who knows what cam and such really were... I've never seen any analysis of what was in there pretending to be stock.
    Ford actually ruined the series by winning everything in all races, and in some of the races all Fords present finished before all others...you can't run a series that way!
    There was a neat history in one of the earliest HRM's even, about 1950, with a parade of stripped roadsters on the cover!
