I was at my local upholstery shop today installing some speakers for a client of mine before his interior was completed, and parked next to his cutlass was what I overheard the owner tell a curious customer was a '30's Buick Limo a '32 I believe he said, which is 1 of 2 ever made. The only other one in existence is in New Hampshire, and Jay Leno has been in town persuing this car off and on since the owner got it. I know literally nothing about cars from that era, but it has the look of a Packard or a Duesenberg. It was Black and Forest green, with no interior, except for a 100% wooden dash and huge steering wheel, artillery style wheels and wide whites all around. Beautiful Friggin car! I didnt snap any pics because Ill be back there several times over the next few weeks. I guess the only question I have is, Is this car that rare? I heard a value stated to be HIGH Hundreds, but that could be $180,000 or $999,000 depending on who's askin. Anyone have any ideas what this thing is?

Well, if its a '32, there were far more than two built, umless he has some special version. Maybe it's one of two in a special order color?

Did it look like this? They made 7 of these- they were the Russion version, known as the L-1, but were identicle to the Amercan ones.

That's the car the production numbers are for, I believe, a series 90. Low production, but not two.

Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

Its pretty much the same body, colors, wheels and bumpers are totally different though. The owner of the shop has been in the buisness literally 50 years, and would have no reason to bs someone. But who knows.
