This one started out with all the spare parts from my 1930 av8 build. Model A engine, axles, steering, rad and wheels. All I needed was a body and frame. I found a frame that came with spare front and rear cross members because the frame was unusable. The body is the front half of a 1927 Fenton. First mock up one year ago. I then had to take both my projects apart and leave my little garage behind. And move 10 hours down the road. Inventory check. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376688954.955724.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376689038.177812.jpg

  8. I'm rather a fan of banger powered '27 Touring bodies on A frames myself... Nothing on here newer than the 1930 headlights and wheels.

Hey thanks guys. I still miss having to leave that garage. But the house was crap and living there sucked. I spent all my time in the garage so it wasn't that bad. For an over sized single it had a four foot pit a chimney for my wood stove. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376690773.480162.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376690798.183085.jpg

Now right around May I got into the paint. I only did the chassis and want to leave the body sun baked. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376691777.169284.jpg

The engine is sporting a "C" marked model B head and carb. I don't really know what the cam is being it was rebuilt in February 1950 bored .80 over. But I have gone through it to insure its in spec. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376694495.369198.jpg
The cab is just an old spring box with a floor I made out of an old skid. And the dash is a tail light holding the amp gage on model a dash with the key in it. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376694753.683186.jpg

After first test drive. I need a better gas tank. And a little brake adjust but man she moves. Now for registering it the engine came out of my coupe frame and I have a bill of sale for the coupe but I don't have one for the frame it's in or the body what should I do. I'm also looking in to selling this one..

This looks like fun. Wish I had some spare cash I'd be making an offer on it as it sits.

Thanks Hitchhiker. Here's two pics from two summers ago when the banger was last running in the coupe. And last summer with both together.

Got her out for a spin last night, nice getting it out of first gear. But on my return drive from a friends place on the other side of the block, the starter is stuck on. And last time I was driving it the starter was giving problems, which is why I pulled the engine apart in the first place. So I think I'll pull the starter out to have a good look at it and open up the switch again. Good I have spare switch.
