Finnaly pried this out of my pops hands. Anyone have a guess as to what year. i cant find a single picture any where of a car like this. Dont mind the wheels. Just rolling it around on em'.
There was nice one in northern Ca for sale on the AACA site. 1928 Dodge. There is a pic in a book I have that shows the King of Spain with his new one in 28. It has a model name, I forgot... I will look it up...and see if I can find the pics of the Ca one.
Info from my Dodge book says that there were TWO different 28 Dodges with the same body shell. One was a "4 passenger coupe" The other was a "Brougham" The book says the difference was in the seating plan...meaning how many seats, and what type.
Love the look of that body style! This is a CLASSIC example why cars should never be photographed with the hood open, has to look 2-3 feet longer closed.
That's a Dodge Victory 6 you have and those are also Victory 6's F&J. The difference in whether it's a Brougham or Deluxe Coupe' is the seating- 5 or 4 passenger (the 4 passenger has a package tray next to the rear seat and behind the driver).
Hemi is the plan. There are no seats in it so I dont know what the seating plan was. Thanks for all the help.
They were only made in '28 and '29 J. Cougar, If you need a radiator shell, let me know- we still have a couple (Dad's got a '28 Deluxe Coupe' that we've had since before I was born). Your's is an earlier '28 as well- the cowl changed midway through '28 (shorter hood/longer cowl... be careful if you're looking for a hood- can't mix and match)
