I have 4 17 x 4 artillery wheels. Fronts have bfgsilvertown 550-17's. I like how they look but would like some big / little attitude. Is anyone running larger than 550's on a 4 inch wheel? 750 with any luck?

Chris here is running 7.00x17 Firestones on the back of his roadster, and the wheels are stock 17x3.5, so you shouldn't have a problem with 7.50's on a 4 inch wheel. I've got 7.00x18 Firestones on my '32 truck on original 18x3.5 wheels.

I was running a 700-18 tire on the rear of my truck in my avatar. I had a pair of 18" milk truck wheels on the rear which are 3.62" wide. Looked great!

Thanks everyone. Now I can start hunting some 750s. Are flaps need or strips or both?

Do you happen to know how wide your wire wheels are?

    Would I have trouble running a 7:50 17 on 3.5" wheels?
