My father-in-law who is retired and spends four days a week at the local junkyard, spotted me a set of 13" 5 on 4 1/2 rims and tires. The plys are rotting but have been using them as rollers on the coupe for now. I have asked many rodders local about them and no one has ever seen a set of these. I am thinking maybe trailer wheels but they like just like old ford wheels. Any help would be great, Thanks.

Some mid-60's Chrysler products had 13" wheels, which would have been 5 on 4-1/2.

(Pssst, Don't forget to do an intro.)

    Ahh, weird, but true! Thanks.

I know the 13" ones on Falcons are 4 on 4-1/2, as there is one right next to me.

    So what was 13" 5 on 4-1/2?

V8 Falcons and fairlanes had 5 on 4-1/2 if memory serves right.

Those could easily be trailer wheels though.

Every V8 Falcon that I have seen with it's naked wheels, all were 14" (or larger). Are there 13" 5-lug ones out there?

1st generation Econoline wheels are 13" 5 on 4-1/2. I have 4 sitting in the loft.

  9. Yes, it is true. Mr T body has the correct answer. I was third owner on a clean original '61 Ford van. Those wheels did make for nice useage on a boat trailer, after I installed 15 inch aluminum ET slots under my newly painted Econoline. :)

I own a set of Ford 13" five lug wheels removed from a 19631/2 Falcon Sprint parts car. The centers have the Ford logo stamped on each wheel. I also have a set of 5 lug 13" chrome reverse wheels with Ford script centers that someone must have had custom made. The chrome wheels have a negative offset and are an inch wider than the rims removed from the Sprint.

Thanks guys, I have gotten the same responses and weird looks around here on them too. Whatever they are (will look closer for a part number) they make great shop talk. Thanks.

I also used the 13 inch 5 on 4.5 wheels from a 63 1/2 Falcon Sprint for my trailer wheels and gave the Falcon some real wheels. I later bought some replacement trailer wheels from Northern Hydralics that were pretty much the same

Not to steal your thread, but on a somewhat related note, some early Novas had a 13" 5x43/4" wheel. I had one, a real POS that I paid $100 for and sold for $200 because the guy wanted the wheels!

1964 1/2 Mustangs (Introduced mid-year) also had them as Mustang was not fully introduced until 1965 so they were actually Falcon's with Mustang skin.
