Great story line, I can relate to my car crazy early life, in the big town 30k only ten miles away from our gurg of 400 we would go from drive in joint to the next and back again for hours and then cruz second street and repeat. I drove from the time I was 12 in the 33 Chevy shown in my avatar, my Dads gas station, repair garage, used car lot was the mecca of car culture in our little town. My Dad an avid example of the times with every car he had receiving the same treatment, dual exhaust, lowered in the rear, fender skirts, Vouge tires, and always super clean and fast. I was doomed to spend the rest of my life, car crazy. The square bird made into a drag car is a trip, I have seen 55-57 birds as strip creatures, but never a 60's unit. thanx for this great post.
