Our 'sport/hobby/lifestyle' is all about vision and execution. If we all built 32 fords with flatheads no fenders and white walls, it would be very boring. Aren't T-Buckets a bit cartoonie also? Once you get beyond the 'norm' out minds fight to relate to a oddball rod with good eye and build. But hopefully in the short and long run we give credit to thought and craftsmanship.
I like what he did just fine ! "A" Bucket, fits good there! All though I built my first hot rod a little earlyer in 1959 after collecting parts for a few years befor that. In my case I was able to find a 1928 "A" roadster,at lest what was left of one,the rear from right wheel to left wheel across the trunk was crushed. So as a teen,I just cut off what I could not not fix back then. I still have my first sweethart that I drove to highschool. It dose get called t-bucket by a few,but I call it a Bobtailed "A"Roadster.
Also one I saw on the web ,but not finished yet. I've see a few more,if can find the pics,I'll put them on.
Love these “bop tail” rods but what happened to the original? Must still be around; no one stupid enough to junk
