    That would make a possible fun body for Land Speed,, a Lakester (wheels exposed) but with a little more work a streamliner

    My first glance, I thought it was a period Indy car and for the most part, it is. I would rework the nose as I think it might not be as aerodynamic as it should be.At that point, it is an Indy car ;)

    While I have to agree that it looks like an Indy racer/ over grown pinewood derby car (remember this is 1955), I wonder how many of us get to create the Real car of their dreams. It would be a real treat to find more about the running example, HAMB detectives let's find those Bills! Another Gem, Joey.

    The overall look of the bodywork shows a lot of influence of the small European formula cars of the era.

    This looks quite similar to the body style of Art Chrisman's Hustler 1, which I believe debuted in 1959, four years after the Two Bills' car appeared in Rod & Custom Magazine. The similarities are so great that I have to think Chrisman studied the Bills' car prior to building his. Hustler-nopaint-59w.jpg
