  1. Don't see why you should complain. I had to wait 7 months on someone to bring down my cadillac. 7 MONTHS!!!! Winter pretty much destroyed the whole plan.

I used Uship to get my "A" from Minnesota to Texas. They were OK, but the guy bringing it called about 4 times delaying when it should get here. He finally called about 12 a.m. and said "Well, I'm about an hour away, you want me to just wait til tomorrow?" HELL NO!! So I had him bring it anyway. Finally got it about 2 a.m. only to stare at it for about another hour before going to bed.
I used BenD here on the HAMB to get a custom frame here out of Chicago, delivered it EXACTLY on time!! No doubt about using him again.
Good luck! Let us know when she shows up!

  9. Finally got him on the phone. He says that he will leave texas today(tuesday) and should be here Thursday..
Anyone here from Texas that wants to help me out w/something??Give me a call 386-788-4874 or PM me your phone #.

Wonder if he would be willing to strap a GPS to his backside or your car so you can keep track of him?

Yea, what's up with the Russian truck drivers. I had a truck shipped from Oregon to Ohio. Took a reasonable amount of time (even though I was sweating bullets) and the driver could hardly speak English. I should have offered to pay with vodka for express delivery!

  20. Some things never change

People contract for cheap transport - then they complain when
they get what they pay for ...

There is a line to buy tickets for cheap transport
There are folks in that line
Eventually .... those folks get what they pay for

Support the HAMB and the HAMB ALLIANCE

    Need your car hauled?

Do a keyword search for " transport " here

You will find several options for car hauling

Hire a HAMB ALLIANCE MEMBER to haul your hotrod

Man, I hope this ends well.

  22. I two experiences with car haulers. What I learned was, first try to get an owner operator. Second ,ask if the car comes off the trailer during transit. Some haulers will put the in lot and its picked up days later. I did find a website that you can leave feedbacks, I believe good and bad. It tough, relax, you'll soon will be up to your elbows with the new ride. Good luck.Tony

  23. Man, I'm pulling for you. Hopefully you are too busy unloading it to up date, but it should be there, right?!?

Just had two different vehicles transported by Exotic Car Transport out of Orlando, by way of referral from two HAMBers, both who couldn't do it for me due to their schedules. No problems, quick two day trips for both cars (LA-CO, and CO-MT), and no drama. Sure hope this one works out...

  26. I just went through a similar mess. I am proof that you get what you pay for. I got lucky that my vehicle got here in 1 piece and almost undamaged. Next time, I'll pay the extra 400 for enclosed and a reputable company. Brokers are awful to deal with. Sleepless nights suck.

I hope that 7500 lb number is a type error. If 7500 is all he can haul thats only about 1 and a half cars per trip.
