100,000 Corvette engines built for every Corvette sold. If you look back though early 60's Hot Rod magazine feature articles every small block Chevy powered rod had a "Corvette" engine in it but I don't remember one with a Chevrolet engine in it.

I love my LT1 Caprice wagon. Hated my 305. 383 in an S-15 Jimmy was too much fun.

I've got one of those, and the Corvette is still attached to it!
I'm more a small block Ford fan, got three 302's. I can't knock the old Chevy's though. Had a 283 one time that ran for a year on about 5 psi oil pressure, couldn't blow it up! It rattled and smoked, but wouldn't die. Bought an "overhaul" kit from Sears & Roebuck, yep they sold them back in the day. First engine I ever built. Or tried to build. Didn't really know wtf I was doing, just thought I did. It ran better, anyway!

 

for the person who started this thread , if you dont like what you see , look the other way ! im a chevy guy myself , but i like some mopars and hemi s , i have tried fords , but just couldnt do it . so if you dont like the color of the grass on your nieghbors yard , stay on your own !
