Didn't have any of them off Sunday to check, but no they don't move excessively, but you can twist them a bit?
That's a good possibility, they look close but can't tell if they're actually touching. They still clatter a bit, but not near as bad.
Got a chance to work on it Sunday, and went through the whole adjustment using a different sequence. This one is where you turn the engine until...
No I haven't but it'll sure be next on the list. Thanks!
Using tall covers, no clearance problems.
No, the engine is just a bone stock 350/280 HP crate motor. It has break in motor oil in it now, and the rockers are not as loud when it's cold....
This could be the problem. The noise is like a loud sewing machine running! And the aluminum sheet metal valve covers make it even louder.
No, not using guide plates at the moment.
I'm using a set of tall fabricated aluminum valve covers. Yes, tried the stock ones and no way would they work. And I checked the undersides of...
Thanks guys, just got home from work. I haven't gave it a real visual check as far as the pushrods rubbing the heads or rockers binding against...
Needless to say, but I've got a problem. I bought a set of generic roller rockers from Jegs, first set I've ever owned and they weren't that...
Harley Shovelhead with drag pipes, Chevy Inline six with split manifold.
That was cool!
Sounds like a bunch of lazy assed parts people.
Could anyone recommend the best Bracket Race message board?
Congratulations!
I used a bunch of Imron years ago on big trucks. That stuff would adhere to ANYTHING, except lacquer based primer! If it wasn't sealed with with a...
I didn't post an add, but a link to an ebay "rat rod" project. Not sure why it was deleted, it wasn't my auction, and wasn't listed under...
Thanks guys, sure appreciate the input. This has been the best source for me on a bunch of stuff. Most of the time some has already asked, and had...
I'm thinking your idea has to be a possibility. I'm aware there's aftermarket kits for throttle body mods, and they're not cheap. I have a bunch...
Could someone give me some idea's on my SBC Hilborn mechanical to EFI conversion? The intake has the bungs (GM) and fuel rails installed. I'm old...
Not sure if it's the same car or movie, but there's an Old's Gasser on ebay being described as a movie car....
If you asked George Barris he'd say, "Me."
Let's see...a 1932 Chevrolet sedan. I was 9 years old, and that would have been 1962.
Those are some great pics!
I was behind this guy that wanted an oil pan gasket for a 350 chevy. They brought him one, and he said, "naw man it's got two of 'em!"
Bought one optima from jegs for 150 bucks, lasted just over a year! I go with the cheapest top/side post wal mart has. Had one warranty expire,...
These are some great photo's. And I can't think of better place to have a car show, than a drive in! Really Nice!
I can concur with the "hate math" situation. I attempted taking electronics in vocational school, and got thoroughly frustrated. But that's the...
Yall got it going man! My brother had a '49 back in the early '70's. My Mother gave $150. for it, and we went everywhere in that car. Hang on to it!
