That was a thought I had too I swapped out the Stant locking cap that is supposed to be vented with the known/marked vented cap from my '64 Comet....
Well, it ran no different after I swapped the points out to the ignitor. it's part# 1281. no I, II, or III the coil is just an O'really 12V coil...
