Sounds great! I will be looking for your spot at the GNRS and show some support any way I can.
What a game changer! In my opinion, nobody made as significant a change until 57.
I haven't had a real low rider except for my 65 Riv years, but a 48 Fleetline is still on my short list. And they do know how to party!
Happy New Year to all! Great article. The first wagon my parents had was a 57 Safari and many more after that. It made me love them too. I would...
Enjoy friends, family, and good food. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
My parents had a number of wagons, my personal favorite being their 58 Pontiac Safari and then their 60 Chrysler Wagon
All great choices, still have to love the Pontiac.
Hard to pick a favorite, but I am driving my 57 Ranchero to this day. But always loved Buicks and Oldsmobiles of that year.
Beautiful Mercury. I love 50's cars, still drive one every day!
Will we see you there the end of September?
Beautiful ride! And with a FE!

I know I am already on the west coast but this year Hot August Nights and then across to highway 49 and tour the " Gold Rush" area is the plan....
As usual a very well written story. Thanks again.

Every time we were searched while driving my 65 Riveria, they never were able to open the ash tray in the middle of the dash. Good thing!
They do look like E-T unilug wheels to me also. I like the look of the truck as is.
Very well put by all of you. And the importance of showing support for the "Indies" is the only way they can survive.
GM had it going on back then. All of the Safari wagons, the Eldorado, to many to list. One of my personal favorites still is the 56 Lincoln Mark...

It's a good show, even in L.A. We will be there both Saturday and Sunday.
As it should be, family first. Saying a little prayer for you and yours.

What a great looking sale, wish I could have made it. I don't have a truck that big though!
Around us, Oak Glen, out near Yucaipa is a pretty ride. You even get to stop and pick your own apples! That's this weekend.
