I’m pretty sure the base 6 cylinder in a 1962 Canadian Pontiac was still a 261.
Had the exact same symptoms as you on a sm420, was the brass pilot bushing wallowed out, everything else was good.
It probably doesn’t have any bump steer :rolleyes:
Bread works amazing, even on the roller bearing style. One slice does it and no greasy mess to clean up!

Ha ha true! But then you would be saying mechanical fans are better. It would be difficult to put a mechanical fan on a sideways motor
If electric fans are better, I wonder why most trucks still don't come with them?
To help dumb it down a bit, anything with 8 bolt wheels will be the same sheet metal as a 1/2 ton, you need to find something with 10 or 5 bolt...
That stuff works great, I used it long term and saw no bad effects.

It happens, welding with a lot of heat, tightened down to much, trying to hold a short tungsten, etc. I use a solid collet with an angle cut on...
Check the bore size of your master before you order, the big trucks like yours usually require a larger bore than the pickups.
Have you considered a windshield visor? These big trucks look bad ass with a visor on!

Do you have the bleeder screw on the top for that wheel cylinder? They don't bleed so well if you accidently put them upside down, I'm no guru though!
